Frequently asked questions
How do I get a ParkPing sticker?
You print it yourself, at home or at any print shop. After signing up, ParkPing generates a print-ready A4 sheet with QR stickers for your vehicle: two large for the front and rear glass and two medium for the side windows. No shipping, no waiting.
Do people need an app to message me?
No. Anyone with a phone camera scans the QR code and a web page opens instantly. They tap a preset like “Blocked in” or “Lights left on”, or type their own message. No app, no account, no phone number.
How do I get notifications on iPhone?
On iOS 16.4 or newer, web push requires adding ParkPing to your home screen first:
- Open ParkPing in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
- Open ParkPing from the new home screen icon.
- Enable notifications when asked.
On Android, notifications work directly in Chrome; you can also install the app when prompted.
Is it really anonymous?
Yes. The person scanning never sees your name, email, or phone number, and you never see theirs. All messages go through ParkPing. Your QR code contains only a random token, nothing personal. See the privacy policy for details.
How much does ParkPing cost?
ParkPing is currently in free beta. Sign up, add your vehicles, print your stickers, and use messaging at no cost.
What if my sticker gets damaged?
Just print a new one. Your QR code stays the same, so a reprint works immediately. Sign in, open your vehicle, and print again.
Can I use one account for several cars?
Yes. Add multiple vehicles to your account; each gets its own QR code and its own conversation history.
